Darren first came to Berwick Pharmacy in 2000 as a Monash University pharmacy student on a placement. That led to a part-time job, then an internship, then a full-time job once he registered as a pharmacist. He spent two years working in the UK and travelling through Europe, before returning back to Berwick Pharmacy once more. And when the previous owners, Geoff, Geoff, Lee and Andrew decided to sell in 2008? He couldn’t face the thought of working anywhere else so he, along with the other partners, purchased the pharmacy in Berwick.

Darren has always felt the Berwick community is a special one, and he loves the connections he makes with patients and their families, some who have known him since he was a student all those years ago. It’s these genuine relationships with patients that mean people trust him to discuss their health concerns. He also loves being a part of our hard-working teams. No two days are ever the same, and he admires how the staff rise to challenges every time.

Darren has a special interest in the areas of Family and Men’s Health and Mental Health. He is fully vaccine accredited.

When not working, Darren loves travelling (his favourite destinations are Japan and Cape Schanck), eating out, date nights out with Kelly, watching his three daughters play basketball and supporting the Western Bulldogs.
