Do you know the signs of a heart attack?

In Australia, over 700,000 people live with heart disease. It’s not just men who suffer the effects of heart disease. Women are three times more likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer.
Do you know the signs of a heart attack? Every 10 minutes an Australian suffers a heart attack. It’s important to know the symptoms and what to do if you or someone you know experiences a heart attack.
Symptoms vary and are not always obvious. There may be pain in the centre of the chest that travels to other parts of the body, such as the neck, arm, jaw or back. You may feel short of breath, nauseous, dizzy, or lightheaded. Remember, not all heart attacks are the same and symptoms can vary.
If you experience symptoms of a heart attack, it is important to:
🛑 STOP what you are doing
🗣️ TALK to someone to explain the situation
☎️ CALL emergency services.
With a heart attack, every minute counts.
