Tips for talking to your health professional21-10-2019
Many people find it difficult to talk about their problems. So to get the most out of your conversation with your doctor, nurse or other healthcare provider, it is important that you are open about providing information. Taking time to prepare and making notes beforehand can help.

#HealthLiteracyMonth also acknowledges that the right communication can help – both you, and your doctor.
Ask about your medicines
Did you know most medicines come with a Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) leaflet? It gives you important information about your medication and will help you understand how to safely take it and possible side effects or interactions.
If you’re still not sure, that’s what a pharmacist is for.
World Pharmacists Day25-09-2019
It’s World Pharmacists Day, so our pharmacists are celebrating by being at work!
Every single day, our pharmacists do their best to help our patients with their health.
💊Sometimes that means explaining about a new medicine.
💊Sometimes that means dressing a wound.
💊Sometimes that means changing a Medico-Pak for a patient who has just been discharged from hospital with changes to their medicines.
💊Sometimes that means encouraging people to see a doctor.
💊Sometimes that means calling 000 for someone.
Often it means drinking a cold cup of coffee, or shovelling down a super quick lunch, or staying back late. It means working in the evening, and on weekends, and on public holidays.
We are so lucky to have such dedicated, knowledgeable, helpful, passionate, kind and caring pharmacists on our team.
❤️ THANK YOU ❤️

Meet Mitch our intern pharmacist07-06-2019
This is Mitch, our intern pharmacist. Mitch has completed his undergraduate pharmacy degree, and is working with us before he does his final registration exams.
Mitch is a big AFL fan. Sadly, he barracks for Collingwood, but don’t hold that against him!
When I asked him what his favourite food is, he replied, “LOTS”. He does think he makes good fajitas.
Mitch thinks Berwick Pharmacy is a great place to learn as there are so many things you see which you won’t see in a smaller place. He loves that our team and customers are easy to get along with.
Make sure you say hi to Mitch next time you see him. And feel free to quiz him with pharmacy questions to prepare him for his exams 😉
