Consumer medicines information
—reliable information

With the rise of the internet, people can find a vast range
of information at home, but there is a need for caution
when dealing with issues relating to health. The best way to
guarantee you are getting reliable information about your
medicines is to ask your pharmacist for a CMI.

One website that can be relied upon for authentic and
trustworthy information on medicines is www.nps.org.au
At this website, you can find CMIs for most of the prescription
medicines available in Australia.

While CMIs are a valuable resource, reading one does not
take the place of counselling by a health professional. It is still
important to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your
health and medicines.

What a CMI contains:

Consumer Medication Information brochures are written in
plain English by the pharmaceutical company that makes the
medicine. They answer common questions about the
medicine, including
• what it is for
• how to use it properly
• things to consider before taking it
• if there are any known side effects. Read More >

We love that Tracy, one half of our super duo of stock controllers, manages to keep smiling even when surrounded by boxes and boxes of new stock!

Both Tracy and Zoe only started working with us earlier this year, and they’ve both done an amazing job, especially in the lead up to Christmas.

We’ll post more on these two lovely ladies in the coming weeks.

This is Michelle, who works in our Gallery Cafe.

Michelle has worked at Berwick Pharmacy for the past seven years, but had worked with us even before that. She can multi-task like a boss, and makes a mean coffee.

Michelle’s number one priority in life is her family, not just her husband and kids, but she’s also super close to her mum and sisters. You may also know her sister, Chantelle, who used to work with us (hi Chan! Miss you!).

There’s not a second to waste in the case of a real health emergency.

When an ambulance is called to a non-emergency, it puts the lives of people in a life threatening emergency at risk.

We want Victorians to have confidence that in an emergency they will get the care they need, when they need it. That’s why we all should save triple zero calls and ambulances for emergencies… because there are alternatives.

There’s your local pharmacist who can provided treatment and advice for minor injuries and ailments helping Victorians save 000 for emergencies. Read More >

We prepare weekly medicine packs

We prepare weekly medicine packs

This? This is our medicines packing machine. We invested in this whizz-bang technology because it helps us to pack weekly medicine packs for our patients.

Medicine packs can help people manage their medicines, especially if they are taking lots, have complex regimes, or are having difficulty remembering which ones to take and when.

Along with our packing service, we can keep your prescriptions on file, to save you having to keep track of them. We’ll let you know when you need a new prescription from your family doctor.

Hopefully we can make life a little easier, and provide some peace of mind to patients and carers.

Pop in and speak to our pharmacists about having your medicines packed, or other ways we can help.
