Celebrate Australia Day in Casey

Australia Day is the ideal opportunity to come together and celebrate what’s great about being Australian, and there will be FREE events across Casey where residents can join in the festivities. This year Council is supporting community events in Berwick, Cranbourne, Hampton Park and Tooradin on Thursday 26 January 2017.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Sam Aziz encouraged residents to share in the celebrations for our national day of pride.

“It’s a day where we can come together as a community to celebrate all the great things about Australia and being Australian – our people, the places, our diversity, sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy and the freedoms we all enjoy.

“It’s also a time to reflect on our nation’s history and acknowledge our past, whilst celebrating the present and recommitting to making Australia an even better place in the future.

“Australia Day is a day for all Australians so whatever your background, join in the celebrations in your local community or get together and celebrate with your family and friends,” Cr Aziz concluded.
